How does Subsaver access my bank transactions?
Subsaver uses Plaid to connect to your bank. You authenticate directly with your bank through Plaid's secure interface — Subsaver never sees your username or password. We receive only read-only, token-based access to your transaction history, limited to what is needed to detect recurring charges.
Can Subsaver move money or make payments?
No. Subsaver uses read-only access exclusively. We can only view transaction history to detect subscriptions — we have no technical ability to initiate payments, transfers, or any financial transactions on your behalf.
What data does Subsaver store, and for how long?
We store only the minimal metadata needed to identify recurring charges: merchant name, amount, date, and the account it was charged to. You can request permanent deletion at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I disconnect my bank account?
Yes, at any time. Revoke access from within the Subsaver app under Settings, or manage all Plaid-connected apps directly at my.plaid.com. Disconnecting stops all data access immediately.
Which banks are supported?
Through Plaid, Subsaver supports over 12,000 US financial institutions, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, American Express, and virtually all major banks and credit unions.
Do you sell my financial data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is used solely to provide the Subsaver service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
